Things are moving with the house renovation again and it's both exciting and stressful! I've also done a few things that have made me happy in the last week or so and I wanted to update you all. Plus I turned of out of office on on Friday for a well earned week off... I won't say a rest because we will be busy in the house but at least we won't be doing that along side working.
1. Taking Brodie to Camperdown Park
I love taking my dog somewhere new and before we went to look at kitchen appliances at Curry's we took him to Camperdown Park for a walk. He had a really good time, got off the lead in the open fields and didn't chase any deer (!?) then we got to watch the monkeys playing at the wildlife park which was cute to see.
2. Bake Off is Back on the Telly
I'm not going to lie I've been waiting on Bake Off returning since about spring - one series a year isn't enough so I'm really happy it's back and we can get to know a new cast of bakers again. Who will be favourites? Who will be a dark horse? Who will be the funny one? It's all so exciting!
3. New Autumnal Earrings
How cute are these harvest moon earrings? I saw them on a local makers instagram and knew I had to add them to my growing clay earring collection. The colours and vibes are perfect for September and October so I couldn't resist putting them on to go out for dinner which brings me on to...
4. Girls Dinner in Aberdeen
On Friday afternoon I got the train to Aberdeen for dinner with my flatmate from uni - it's hard to believe it's been eight years since we were freshers but it was great to catch up over a delicious Zizzi's. Plus I had a couple of hours to mooch around the shops by myself while she finished work.
5. We're Starting with the Kitchen Renovation
It's been a few months in the planning but we've finally started with the kitchen renovation - the electrician is coming at the start of the week so we has to rip everything out on Monday then the joiner is starting at the end of the week. It will be a few weeks until we see the new kitchen but it will be worth the effort.
