It's been a while since I wrote one of these post but I got some lovely gifts this Christmas so I decided to resurrect an old favorite. Obviously most of these Christmas presents were neatly piled in the corner of the living room until the day before I went back to work and decided I had to give them all a new home. I can't be the only person who does this?
Like a lot of other people I am lucky enough to still have gifts to come because family couldn't travel across the country to visit we decided to wait until we can safely mix again to exchange gifts. I always enjoy an after Christmas presents so that's okay by me.
My boyfriends parent's like to get us lots of bits and bobs for Christmas so this is a selection of the things that were more for me. The bottle of wine was long gone before I took these pictures but we got some lovely things. This planter is made from recycled tyres and has the prettiest pattern, a new wax melter with the best smelling melts, a garlic pot so we don't have to keep it loose on the shelf, a calendar, cosy socks and the most delicious sounding cookies.
We also got these really cute plant pot people from my boyfriends parents - mine is an adorable bee and my boyfriends is an Aberdeen FC themed one. A lady local makes them and I think they'll look amazing in my future greenhouse. We also got Mary Berry's new cookbook which has some classic recipes and lots of tips.
My brother, although we don't always get along, gives amazing Christmas presents and this year was no exception. He bought me a salt lamp - something I didn't know I needed until I saw it turned on and it gives off the most relaxing light and looks really pretty. Maybe it's the Geologist in me that loves it too.
My Aunty ordered my present straight to our house so it arrived a few days before Christmas in a Yankee candle box and I couldn't wait to see what was inside. The Mandarin Cranberry candle smells so good and I can't wait to burn it next. I've packed away the fragrance spheres with the Christmas things so we can enjoy it throughout December next year. I also want to save the reed diffuser for when we get a new bathroom so we get the maximum benefit.
