Dress: F&F | Top: Fat Face | Trainers: Converse | Necklace: Layla Amber |
Apart from my Lost Stock box, which hasn't arrived yet, this pinafore and converse have been my only lock down purchases. When it felt like summer was on the way a few weeks ago I spotted the dress in the 50% off sale they were having in Tesco.
I had a denim pinafore dress a few years ago but as I got older I became really uncomfortable with how short it was so it had to go. I've been looking for an alternative since - they are so versatile and fit in with lots of other pieces in my wardrobe. Not only was this one a bargain at £9 in the sale but it also fits in with a more grown up style I have now. The pockets are so handy for slipping my phone into. I like the button up style but one thing I've found when wearing it is that it can gap at awkward places when I'm sitting down so I think I'll have to sew it up and leave the buttons as detail.
These converse were a necessary purchase because my previous pair had holes in the soles. I continued to wear them at the end of summer last year but every time it rained I would get wet feet which wasn't ideal. I saw this pair advertised on Facebook and they seemed like a bargain at £25. They might be a kids style but I love the blush pink and the snake print detail (you can see a close up photo here). I know they will go with almost everything I wear during summer - especially my denim jacket. I only wish I could do something to stop my old pair going into landfill.
