My First Interview Outfit

This might not be the most interesting outfit in the world, however, I really wanted to document it on my blog because it is what I wore to my first job interview. The job I started almost two weeks ago now!

The shirt was originally gifted from warehouse in 2014 and is one of the blouses I regularly wear when I must dress smartly. It is funny how things work out – one of the first fashion items I was gifted helps land me my first full-time adult job.

While I was at school I avoided trousers because I hated wearing them but knowing they would be a necessity I didn’t really know where to start to find a pair that would suit me. My boyfriend buys his work trousers from next so that was my first port of all. I ordered five pairs in different styles (and prices) then settled on this pair of slim fit navy trousers.

Going to this assessment day with two half hour interviews and group tasks to complete was one of the most nerve-wracking things I’ve ever done – only beaten by, three weeks later, my first day of work.

I mentioned in last weeks post that keeping my blog up to date when I’m settling in is a challenge, but I have a few things planned I just need to prioritise sitting down and getting them done.
