On Saturday my blog turned five - five years since I first posted on a whim and started blogging about outfits and baking in my spare time. Something that has carried me through the periods in my life where I needed something stable of focus on. Today I'm going to talk about the five things that have made me happy this week.
1. G is for Gingers Turning Five
It's hard to believe I've been blogging for five years - starting when I was still at school, through my year out and completing my degree. While my blog will never been huge it has gone from strength to strength and I've had so much fun working on campaigns with brands I love.
2. Getting My Hair Cut
I like having my hair long but it quickly starts to look really dry and no amount of styling will help it look good so on Saturday I found a hair dresser and got it neatened up. It's probably the best hair cut I've had in ages and I'm really excited to find someone local who can cut my hair regularly.
3. Completing the First Copy of my CV
At the end of the week, with a little help from my parents, I completed the first copy of my CV I would be happy to show people. Seven months after graduation might seem late to some people but better late than never. Now to find the right job for me (I'm sure it's out there somewhere...).
4. My Wickford & Co. Reed Diffuser
In home bargains this week I treated myself to a new Wickford & Co. reed diffuser this time in the scent sea salt and cotton. Now my bathroom smells like a spa and I am loving it.
5. Sunday Baths
I've been getting into the habit of having a long bath on a lazy Sunday, lots of bubble bath and a TV show I love. Once I get out I put on clean jammies and go back to sitting on the sofa with Scott. It really is the little things in life.
Some not so good things that have happened this week - I lost the £10 note I took out to get my hair cut. These plastic notes are so slippy and I've finally learnt my lesson not putting them in my purse. My sleeping pattern has not been in sync with Scott's so I've been lying awake when he is sleep then being too tired to wake up in the morning - so annoying!
