Denim & Lace for a Date Night

Last weekend Scott took me to see Jimmy Carr live in Aberdeen. I decided to mix up my style a little and dress up. I bought this dress last summer in TK Maxx for only £1 because it had a rip in it (where the red ribbon now is) and is now every much on the border of fitting me so I should wear it more while I get the chance. I thought adding the lace crop top would make it look different from the last time I wore it. You can see the post here.

I love layering and I think the lace and denim go really well together. It gives the outfit a more girly look against what is quite a grunge dress. I accessorised it simply with my London bus necklace from accessorise and my cute velvet pumps from F&F. We were just going to be sitting in a dark room for two hours after all so there wasn't any need to look to dressed up.
