Edinburgh's Festival Fringe

Top: Zara Pinafore: Newlook Boots: River Island Tights: Matalan

Still looking for the perfect place to take photos outside around my house and I don’t think this is it however we shall continue on anyways. It was a very misty, damp day in Edinburgh so I knew I would have to be prepared to stay warm so out came what are soon becoming staples of mine; my denim pinafore and a stripy top. Also paired it with these woolly grey tights and maroon boots and actually I was a little to warm. I think the length of this dress better suits thick tights so I’m sure I will get plenty of wear out of it in the fast approaching autumn. It would even look good with my favourite knit wear! (Getting excited for autumn already)

As a girl who lives on a farm going to the big city is a pretty exciting prospect so when mum proposed a trip to the Edinburgh festival fringe last Thursday I got pretty excited. While we didn’t plan to see any shows we walked down the royal mile to watch the street performers. I was most impressed with the theatre group dressed in black with vintage suitcases. They were pretending to be statues but when someone went to take a leaflet they said something. It was funny and incredibly clever. There was also a man standing at the top of a ladder while he told jokes and juggled knifes. He also stupid off his kilt suit while balancing on the ladder- pretty talented I think. Mullet man; also a juggler and a bit of a comedian. He also got volunteers up and ran around until his mullet blew in the wind.

After walking around all morning up and down the hills in Edinburgh we needed a rest so went to the royal botanic gardens restaurant for possibly the most fancy sandwich I’ve ever had. How good does it look? It was a char grilled chicken breast on a herb facachia roll with a red pepper tomato sauce. Foodie Heaven and they retweeted me when I posted it on my twitter!

I have decided to offer advertising in September and see how it goes. Check out the tab at the top of the page because prices are VERY low. It's not to late so give me an email or tweet me @Gisforgingers
